Hilton Head Island Vacations For The Whole Family – Surfing, Fishing, Boating and More!
Monday, February 22, 2010
Fishing in Hilton Head is prime. On Hilton Head Island, you can fish in fresh and brackish water lagoons, tidal lagoons, estuaries (tidal creeks), inshore on the Calibogue Sound and offshore in the Atlantic Ocean. Redfish, seatrout, tarpon, and flounder can all be caught in the waters surrounding Hilton Head Island. If you prefer freshwater fishing to saltwater fishing, be sure to purchase a seven-day non-resident fishing pass. You will also need to purchase fourteen-day non-resident pass if you plan on casting into the ocean. There are also plenty of charters who are ready and willing to aid you on your adventure through the lagoons!
If you are looking for more of a non-fishing boating adventure, take out a speed boat for skiing or parasailing. Imagine harnessing into a parachute and skiing off into the sky high about the boat and beach. You can fly high into the air with a parachute towed by a speed boat. The experienced guides will put you into a harness, and gently lift you up into the air. Voila!
